Oodrive

The challenge
Oodrive gives organisations with sensitive content the tools they need to collaborate at speed. The suite of apps combines the highest levels of data security with best-in-class collaboration solutions, so teams can secure sensitive content, without slowing down work.
Oodrive had established a brand identity in 2020, but it struggled to clearly convey its mission as a private and secure cloud provider. The brand needed a modern identity aligned with its voice and objectives.
My role
With the support of an agency and a junior designer, I had the opportunity to work on the new brand strategy, focusing on multiple aspects beyond a simple asset overhaul:
- Conducting an audit on the impact of changes internally and externally
- Organizing workshops to guide and inform team members
- Gathering needs, planning changes, etc.
- Creating new advertising messages
- Improve the design system
Results
With a new modern logo, the rebranding was a success, both internally—with widespread employee adoption—and externally, with clients renewing their trust in Oodrive. Key outcomes included:
- Increased internal website visits, achieving a bounce rate of 42% (previsouly 51.6%)
- Growth in marketing campaigns' impact on sales revenue, from 8% to 14%

The process
The logo combines the iconic double "oo" from the name, interwoven to represent security and collaboration—two core concepts at the heart of the company’s offering.

Waves are an integral part of Oodrive’s brand identity, symbolizing its three core products that form the foundation of the company: Oodrive Work, Oodrive Sign and Oodrive Meet.

With its redefined catalog, Oodrive now offers products with distinct identities. Each product has its own color and graphic patterns, creating a unique look while staying aligned with the overall brand identity.

Final learnings
On a personal level, this was my most extensive redesign experience, with a broad scope and significant challenges. While gaining new skills and taking on more responsibilities, I learned valuable lessons in management and organization required for projects of this scale.
I’m also deeply grateful to my colleague, Ambre S., for her effective support throughout this journey.
